AWAHS proudly facilitates a fortnightly Koori Women’s Group which aims to promote connection to self and other women through a range of cultural activities, workshops and retreats that focus on self-care, skill development, knowledge sharing and the opportunity to yarn with fellow community.
Who can attend
Koori women or those with a connection to the Koori community. Ie, partner or kids identify
Support workers who are supporting an individual to attend
All ages are encouraged to participate

Our Koori Women’s Group aims to unite and empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. Attendees are requested to show consideration and mutual respect for others’ needs, interests, and feelings.

Transport
Transport is available for those without any means of transport to attend the Koori Women’s Group. This must be prearranged prior to the day by contacting AWAHS administration team or via an Aboriginal Health Promotion Worker.
