Craig has been involved in the health industry, both in NSW government and in the not-for-profit sector for over 20 years. Working as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer at Albury Base Hospital, then going to study social work and practice as a Social Worker.
Craig is an original founding committee and board Director of AWAHS, his passion is focused on creating generational health outcomes for our mob.
Craig is a current serving Board Director on the NSW Government Aboriginal Housing Board, serving as Director from 2016. His area of expertise is governance and risk management. Craig states, ensuring our mob have suitable housing options is critical to creating and sustaining generational health outcomes.
Another passion of Craig’s is his love of education, as a former high school and primary school teacher, Craig has taught both in Australia and in England. As it is with housing, Craig states education plays a large part in creating health outcomes for our mob-teaching our children is a key to providing the best options for our youth.
Craig is currently employed as Assistant Director for Industry Engagement & Aboriginal Workforce, for Rail Projects Victoria. In this role Craig is responsible for ensuring contractors working on the Victorian Big Build building rail infrastructure are employing Aboriginal people and engaging Aboriginal businesses.As with housing and education, Craig believes employment for our mob is another key factor in creating generational health outcomes.
