As the leading primary healthcare provider for First Nations peoples in North East Victoria and Southern Riverina, New South Wales, AWAHS is proud to offer a comprehensive cultural program that fosters strong connection to self, family, community, the land, and wellbeing.
Our cultural program aims to improve respect and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, support cultural identity for community, and fundamentally, provide a platform for education to develop equality and social cohesion amongst ourselves and for all Australians.
AWAHS’ cultural services are integral to closing the gap and providing a safe environment for individuals to share culture, learn and to connect with others.
