Here at AWAHS we are committed to providing quality services to improve and achieve health outcomes for our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community. Our Quality and Safety framework is a consistent approach to proactively review and continually improve our practice and service systems through implementation of strategies to achieve a high standard in service delivery and improve on quality health outcomes that will be sustained over time.
AWAHS Quality Framework adopts a continuous quality improvement model and LOGIQC a quality management software system to ensure we improve on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and well being while remain leaders of service excellence.
AWAHS are accredited against the following standards
- Quality Improvement Council (QIC) Health and Community Services Standards
- Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL)
- National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS)
Continuous Quality Improvement at AWAHS supports implementation of various quality initiatives undertaken in all areas of the service. Bringing these initiatives together ensures we provide a consistent approach to promote clinical and organisational quality improvement across the service to meet the needs of the local community.
