The Medical Reception Administration Officer is to provide high quality reception and administrative services and support to the patients, doctors and staff at Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service, all of which is to done in a caring and supportive manner.
To be successful you will have:
  • A strong administrative background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great computer skills
  • Preferably have experience working in a community, health or medical organisation
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of ATSI cultures

Aboriginal Health Worker –Koori Midwife Program


Aboriginal Identified Position

Part Time- 3 days per week


The role contributes to the delivery of antenatal and postnatal care for women of the local Aboriginal community including education and awareness of support services available to them. You will be integral in improving the health of Aboriginal women, their babies, children and families.

Aboriginal Health Worker – Building Stronger Foundations (BFS) | Albury

Aboriginal Identified Position

Full Time – 12 month contract

The Family Support Worker is to assist the Child & Family Health Nurses in the establishment of a culturally appropriate service to specifically target Aboriginal children and their parents in the 0 – 5 age range. They will positively engage Aboriginal communities guided by Primary Health and Early Intervention frameworks and strategies and work in collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to achieve better outcomes for Aboriginal children, families and communities. This positions also is to build capacity within existing mainstream clinical services in order to provide improved access to care for this cohort of the Aboriginal population.

General Practitioner | Albury

Part Time- 2 day per week

The General Practitioner role is a 2 day a week position that is involved in closing the gap for the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. The GP will be directly responsible for providing primary healthcare services and associated referrals to AWAHS Clients.

Speech Pathologist – Contractor | Albury

Part Time- 1 day per week

The Speech Pathologist is a 1 day a week position who is responsible for working autonomously and in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary teams at AWAHS, including the paediatrics team, in the delivery of culturally appropriate Speech Pathology services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
